Quickstart
This guide will help you install Proxirae, add a proxy server, and configure your first proxy rule.
Download the latest stable version of Proxirae from the Releases page.
Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
Open Proxies → Proxy Servers in the top menu and click Add.
Enter the connection details for a SOCKS5 or HTTPS proxy server and save the settings.
A Proxy Rule consists of two parts: matching conditions and traffic handling settings.
Conditions determine which traffic the rule applies to. They consist of processes, hosts, and ports.
Examples of accepted values are provided below the input fields in the application. The following sections describe the main options.
Processes
You can specify an exact process name, a path to an executable, or a recursive mask.
You can find process names in the Processes tab of Windows Task Manager. They usually match the names of the corresponding executable files.
For example, the mask C:\Program Files\\*.exe matches .exe files inside the Program Files directory, including nested directories.
Hosts
Supported values include domain names, IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, CIDR networks, address ranges, and recursive masks.
For example, the mask 192.168.1.* can be used to match a group of addresses with the specified prefix.
Ports
You can specify a single port, such as 443, or a port range.
Each rule requires a transport protocol and an action.
The transport protocol determines which type of traffic the rule applies to: TCP, UDP, or both.
The action determines how Proxirae handles matching traffic:
- Direct – route traffic directly, bypassing the proxy.
- Block – block the traffic.
- Proxy – route traffic through the selected proxy server. Available proxy actions are generated from the configured proxy servers.
After configuring the conditions and transport settings, make sure the rule is enabled and save it.
Rules are processed from top to bottom, so their order can affect the routing result.
If everything is configured correctly, Proxirae will handle traffic according to the routing rule.
