- The disk image goes to the Trash once the update is installed, instead of sitting in Downloads forever. The Trash rather than deleted: if an update turns out badly, that file is the one thing that gets you back to the version before it. It is moved only after the volume is unmounted.
- Housekeeping: two functions nothing called are gone (
SearchCache::rescan, superseded byrescan_with_walk_data, andscan_path_nonrecursive, which had been silenced with#[allow(dead_code)]rather than removed).
The three bugs fixed in 0.5.0 were reported upstream, where the engine comes from: #229 (lost deletions), #230 (content: filter ordering) and #231 (iCloud placeholders downloaded by a content search).
