Issue in Allocating the Earned Leaves to the newly joined Employees

Hi Team,

One of our clients has the requirement to allocate Earned Leaves to their Employees. The below points will update the requirement and the issue.

1. They will allocate earned leaves of 15 days to their employees.
2. There was a condition in the allocation of earned leave to the newly joined employees. The team will allocate the earned leaves to the employees only after completing the working period of 365 days i.e. 1 year.
3. This has to be automated in the ERPNext. During the process of automation, they followed the procedure updated in Steps to replicate and found the contrast between Expected and Observed results, which are documented below:

Steps to replicate:

1. Created a leave type of name Custom Leave, with the settings so as to be applicable after 365 days, enabling Is Carry Forward functionality and Is Earned Leave functionality.
2. Created a Leave Policy, with the name Custom Leave Policy - 2023, by selecting the Leave Type Custom Leave, with an Annual Allocation of 15 days.
3. Updated the joining date for the employee as 01-02-2022, for whom the Earned Leaves has to be allocated.

4. Created a Leave Policy Assignment, within the date period, 01-02-2023 and 31-01-2024. After creating the Leave Policy Assignment for the particular employee in the specified date period, the Leave will be allocated to that employee automatically and will be updated in the Leave Allocation screen.

Expectation:

1. The 1.25 leaves per month has to be updated automatically per month, from 01-02-2023 and has to be displayed in the field New Leaves Allocated. The number has to be multiplied each month.

Observation:

1. The numbers in the field New Leaves Allocated are getting displayed as 0.00. This indicates that the Earned Leaves are not getting allocated for the Newly Joined Employees who have completed the service period of 365 days.

@Rajatha26 The leave allocation starts from "01-02-2023"

Hence, the number of leaves to be allocated is calculated from that date onwards. If you want to allocate based on DOJ, then in the Leave Policy, select Assignment Based On = Joining Date in the Leave Policy Assignment

We tried the solution updated through the email. But the issue is not resolved yet.
I am updating the issue points below:

1. We considered an Employee whose joining date was 01-03-2022.
2. As per the requirement, the earned leaves for this employee has to be allocated from 06-02-2023(i.e after completing
   the service period of 312 days for the newly joined employees).
3. And for the period of 4 months, the earned leaves count of 5 days has to be allocated.
4. But, if we select the Assignment based on Joining Date in Leave Policy Assignment, the Effective From Date and Effective To Date of Leaves are updating as 01-03-2022 to 01-03-2023, which is not correct.
   I am adding the screenshots for reference:
   
5. And the complete 15 day leaves are getting allocated before 312 days.
