macOS

  1. Download the appropriate DMG file
  2. Mount the DMG and drag the app to Applications folder
  3. Important: Right-click the app and select "Open" on first launch

Windows

When first opening the app on macOS, you may see:

"Apple could not verify AWS Compute Manager is free of malware"

This is normal for unsigned applications. To resolve:

Method 1 (Recommended):

  1. Right-click on "AWS Compute Manager.app"
  2. Select "Open" from the context menu
  3. Click "Open" in the security dialog

Method 2:

  1. Go to System Settings β†’ Privacy & Security
  2. Find the notification about the blocked app
  3. Click "Open Anyway"

  1. Launch AWS Compute Manager
  2. Enter AWS Credentials:
    • AWS Access Key ID
    • AWS Secret Access Key
    • Select your preferred region
  3. Load Instances: Click "Load Instances" to see your EC2 instances
  4. Manage Instances: Select an instance and use Start/Stop/Terminate buttons
