Fabric Atlas v1.12.1

Choose a tag to compare

@fredgis fredgis released this 10 Sep 17:33
e7a8f94

Fixed

  • Bound external Fabric metadata to the Rayfin entity limits before snapshot writes.
  • Preserved stable principal references and original schema names when long storage keys are shortened.
  • Disabled live Sync when tenant or endpoint configuration is incomplete.
  • Prevented saved-view creation while personal state is still loading.
  • Aligned team-note documentation with authenticated email and subject binding.

The FabricAtlas AppBackend and SQL database were recreated from scratch. The new database contains the 15 empty Atlas tables plus Rayfin-managed system tables. No synchronization was launched.

Fabric Atlas v1.12.0

Highlights

  • Resumable synchronization now distinguishes global deadlines, request timeouts and deferred retries without publishing partial snapshots.
  • UDF destinations and redirects are locked down before delegated tokens are acquired.
  • Snapshot publication verifies all persisted rows and records a durable synchronization lifecycle.
  • Writer authorization now uses the immutable authenticated subject; notes load independently and authors cannot be spoofed.
  • KQL and Rayfin pagination no longer truncate silently, and guest/external identity evidence is preserved.
  • Updated to Node.js 24, MSAL Browser 4.30 and Rayfin 1.34, with a clean production dependency audit.

The Fabric deployment was recreated from scratch with a new AppBackend and an empty 15-table Atlas database. No synchronization was launched.

Fixed

  • Impact mode no longer changes layout focus.
  • Selecting a middle item and enabling Impact mode preserves component order, node coordinates and viewport position.
  • Only impact highlighting and non-impact opacity change.

Deployment

Fabric Atlas v1.11.4

  • Relational and semantic object views no longer get replaced by Ontology metadata graphs.
  • Connected Ontology item groups remain available without hiding the selected Lakehouse or Semantic Model schema.

Changed

  • Non-impact nodes and links are nearly transparent in Impact mode.
  • Item grouping controls are now displayed in a dedicated bar.
  • Lineage arrowheads are smaller.

Deployment

  • deploy-20260905193832-5dbe9592

Fabric Atlas v1.11.3

  • Impact mode preserves the complete graph and positions while changing only dependency highlighting.

Added

  • Collapsible object groups by Fabric item.
  • Expand item groups / Collapse item groups controls.
  • Left-button background dragging to pan the complete lineage canvas.

Fixed

  • Object lineage now refreshes when a node from another Fabric item is selected, including Ontology to Lakehouse or Semantic Model transitions.
  • Stale object table, source, kind, selection and drag state is cleared on item changes.

Changed

  • Added Expand all and Collapse all controls to the Deep lineage table inspector.
  • Updated five README screenshots to the current Fabric Atlas experience.
  • Recreated the Rayfin AppBackend and SQL Database from scratch for a clean deployment.

Fabric Atlas v1.11.1

@fredgis fredgis released this 05 Sep 18:29
a3d9129

Fixed

  • Initial synchronization no longer rejects valid large object-lineage payloads.
  • Verified object lineage is no longer truncated by a product-level relation count.
  • Deep workspace discovery now resumes across type-grouped UDF slices under Fabric's 200-second timeout.
  • Initial and later syncs show real phases, completed-item progress and elapsed time.
  • Slow batches split automatically; slow single items retry in isolated slices without infinite loops.
  • Snapshot publication remains atomic, so incomplete refreshes never replace the last validated snapshot.

Validation

  • Live FGI-MAIN scan completed 78 items in 22 slices with zero errors; the slowest slice took 24.3 seconds.

@fredgis fredgis released this 05 Sep 17:17
ecdca8c

Generic full-workspace metadata discovery for KQL Database, Fabric SQL Database, Ontology, Graph Model and Data Agent. Includes 823 live-validated verified object-lineage relationships on FGI-MAIN with no truncation or errors, workload-specific Asset Catalog objects, object impact, search/history support, metadata-only sanitization, and updated README/architecture/data model/installation documentation. Advanced enrichment uses separate scoped Fabric, Kusto and Azure SQL tokens and degrades visibly when consent is unavailable.

Fabric Atlas v1.10.1

@fredgis fredgis released this 05 Sep 14:32

Hotfix for #6: narrower lineage nodes with restored spacing, compatible item selection after type and health filtering, correct table selection after object-table filtering, and an explicit 70% standard governance baseline across all six pillars.

Fabric Atlas v1.10.0

@fredgis fredgis released this 05 Sep 14:16

P1 release: sortable Catalog table, compact/comfortable density, readable lineage and resizable inspector; separate health and coverage; evidence-bound access-review history; shared governance targets with 70% defaults and expiring exceptions; full historical schema/DAX details and impact. README, CHANGELOG and architecture/data-model documentation are updated. Deferred P2/P3 work is in the v2 roadmap. Source changes: #6. A new minor-version synchronization is required by the existing deployment gate.
