One Mission; Many Use Cases

Noti was built with several use cases in mind, all aggregating up to a single purpose: To provide a flexible, yet robust means of sending notifications in the form of many mediums, in real-time, at some point in the future, or on a reoccurring schedule. Below is a more formalized use case diagram, shedding light on the various individual use cases currently assessed, as well as the various actors involved with those use cases.

Actors

The actors represent external systems that are associated with the various use cases of Noti. At the current time the following actors have been identified as playing a role in the use cases:

  • Client -> Represents a client of Noti. This client leverages the external interface Noti offers to send notifications.
  • SMS Service -> Represents a downstream, 3rd-party service that specializes in sending SMS.
  • Email Service -> Represents a downstream, 3rd-party service that specializes in sending emails.
