Hi guys,
As part of the build of Fritzing for Fedora, I have to massage the source to conform to Fedora's packaging guidelines, which require that any bundled dependencies (like boost, quazip, etc) be removed and the system-provided versions be used instead (so that Fedora can easily push out a single update to, say, boost, and have every dependent package either automatically rebuild, or pull in the new libraries if a rebuild is unnecessary).
I'm using the attached patch to remove the dependence on quazip and boost (along with rm'ing the directories themselves in the RPM spec file prior to build), but this is a fairly hacky approach; would it be possible to expose the ability to build the system-provided versions of these if available (either by automatically detecting their presence, or simply a build option that disabled use of the embedded versions)?
