Glaze 2.0.2 for Safari
Glaze 2.0.2 for Safari is a signed and notarized Mac app for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 12 or newer. Glaze's styling needs Safari 17.2 or newer; the frosted-glass blur needs Safari 18.
Download glaze-2.0.2-safari-macos.dmg below.
Install
- Open the disk image, open Glaze, and click Install Glaze. It copies itself into Applications (your own
~/Applicationsif your account isn't an administrator) and reopens from there. - Glaze opens Safari's Extensions settings and shows an illustrated guide: tick Glaze for Blackboard Ultra, then allow it on your Blackboard Ultra site. The guide ticks off the first step as soon as Safari turns Glaze on.
Dragging Glaze into the disk image's Applications shortcut works too. The same app is also in glaze-2.0.2-safari-macos.zip.
What's new
- One-button installer with a visual setup guide, replacing the drag-and-quit setup of 2.0.1.
- American spelling throughout: "colors".
Verification
- Developer ID signed, Apple notarized, and approval ticket stapled on both the app and the disk image.
- Signatures, a sandboxed extension, and Gatekeeper acceptance verified.
- 27 unit tests passed.
- Installation verified on macOS 27 with Safari closed: Install replaced an older copy in Applications, the installed app reopened from there and launched Safari, and Safari reported Glaze's state.
The package includes both Intel and Apple Silicon binaries. SHA-256 checksums are in the matching .sha256 files.
