PSCapture v0.1 is out — the PS5 screen as a real capture card on your PC

No capture card. No Remote Play. A jailbroken PS5 streams its screen over your LAN and shows up on the PC as a real camera called PS5 Capture in Discord, OBS and ffmpeg — 1920x1080, ~30 fps on a plain gigabit network.

How it works

• Console side: the payload reads the display engine's scan-out buffer directly (no re-encode on the console) and serves NV12 frames over TCP.
• PC side: a feeder publishes frames into shared memory; a DirectShow filter exposes them as a camera. One PSCapture.exe carries both the payload and the driver inside itself: first run installs the camera, deploys the payload, starts the stream — one window, one click.

Requirements

• Jailbroken PS5: payload loader on TCP 9021, anonymous FTP on TCP 2121 (pldmgr autoloader optional but recommended)
• Tested firmware: 13.60 — other versions may need a small re-anchoring pass (post your version in Q&A)
• Windows 10/11, both machines on the same LAN

Status

v0.1 is a pre-release: the pipeline is field-proven (live Discord calls, ffmpeg 1080p grabs); the packaged installer flow is being validated. Source-available: read/study/personal use — see LICENSE.
