Summary

  • bump the language-neutral VERSION source from 0.1.0 to 0.1.1
  • prepare the first public Patchlog release without moving the failed bootstrap v0.1.0 tag

Dogfood evidence

Patchlog created and applied the bump through its own release workflow:

  • immutable dry-run planned 0.1.0 → 0.1.1
  • the release gate passed before apply
  • filesystem, Git index, refs, diffs, object database, HEAD, and VERSION fingerprints were identical before and after dry-run
  • authoritative changed-file output was exactly VERSION
  • apply revalidated a clean worktree and the exact efe82c6cd324c8c100b0d1faa9009497418ef492 base

Validation

  • go vet ./...
  • formatting check
  • native CLI build
  • Linux, macOS, and Windows release target builds
  • race-enabled package tests
  • integration tests
  • orchestration E2E tests

The local macOS sandbox required the established external-linker and localhost-test-server workarounds; all suites then passed. GitHub quality CI remains authoritative.

Rollout

  1. Require green quality CI and squash merge.
  2. Wait for green post-merge main CI.
  3. Create annotated v0.1.1 from that exact commit.
  4. Verify archives, SHA256SUMS, provenance attestations, archive execution, go install ...@v0.1.1, and @latest.

v0.1.0 remains unchanged as a failed bootstrap tag and is not advertised as a release.
