Union.Manifold v3.7.0
Union.Manifold 3.7.0 is ready! If the app is already installed, just restart it and accept the update prompt — otherwise grab the download for your operating system below.
📦 Downloads
- 🪟 Windows 10/11 — Download the installer
- 🍎 Mac (Apple Silicon / M-series) — Download the disk image
- 🍎 Mac (Intel) — Download the disk image
- 🐧 Linux — Download the AppImage
That is all most people need. Prefer a native Linux package? A .deb, .rpm, and Arch package are attached too — expand the section below.
Other downloads & technical files (for advanced users)
Everything else attached to this release lives here. Safe to ignore unless you know you need it.
Other ways to install on Linux
- Debian / Ubuntu: the .deb package attached to this release
- Fedora / openSUSE: the .rpm package attached to this release (stable-named copy: union-manifold-x86_64.rpm)
- Arch Linux: union-manifold-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst plus its detached PGP signature - import its signing key (union-manifold-signing-key.asc in the repository) once, then pacman -U accepts the download URL
Files that power automatic updates
- latest.json - a small index file installed apps check to discover that a new version exists.
- *.sig files - short digital signatures that let the app verify each download really came from this project.
macOS app archives
- Union.Manifold_aarch64.app.tar.gz and Union.Manifold_x64.app.tar.gz (used internally by the updater)
What changed in 3.7.0
Added
- Gated download links now resolve in-app without Slipgate: when a host page
sits behind a Cloudflare gate or a JS-only download flow, Union.Manifold
opens its own hidden browser view (the same engine that renders the app),
lets the challenge pass the way it does for a normal browser, and hands the
captured download link or session cookies to the downloader. If a check
needs a human click, the same window appears for a second and hides again
once the download continues; without any interaction needed, nothing is
ever shown. Datanodes downloads use their new per-page token flow, and
gate-table hosts (1fichier, qiwi, megadb, filecrypt, vikingfile, akirabox,
fileq, mocha, zerofs) resolve in-app instead of only opening the browser.
Fixed
-
"Pre-Installed" editions deduplicate against the plain title again: the
hyphenless spelling produced by punctuation normalization slipped past the
edition-noise filter, so pre-installed releases showed up as separate
games. -
Space-separated dates keep their time of day ("2024-03-01 10:00:00" no
longer collapses to midnight), so release timestamps sort correctly. -
Verifications for different file hosts now run in parallel instead of
queueing behind one another, and a verification that needs your attention
can be cancelled straight from its toast. Long-running hidden sessions
announce themselves after a few seconds so a slow spinner is never
unexplained. -
The aria2 downloader's RPC secret is passed through a private config file
instead of the process list, matching how proxy credentials were already
handled. -
Deleting a game from the library now also drops its stored achievement
progress, so a reinstalled or re-imported game starts with a clean
achievements state instead of resurrecting unlocks from the deleted entry. -
Browse scroll windowing works again. The scroll-window virtualization had
drifted out of sync with the live grid, producing misaligned rows; the
window geometry is repaired. -
Game cards and library menu rows are keyboard accessible: focus lands
on the card itself and menu rows activate with Enter and Space instead
of responding only to mouse clicks. -
Leftover console errors in the exe picker and controller hooks are
routed through the app logger instead of hitting the raw console, so
they show up in diagnostics like every other logged error. -
Steam library detection on macOS checks the macOS Steam library roots,
so imported Steam games resolve on Mac installs. Log output redacts the
user's home path, keeping usernames out of shared diagnostics. -
Arch pacman updates pick the right package again: the updater path
guessed x86_64 unconditionally, so ARM installs were handed the wrong
pacman package. Architecture is now detected the same way the install
script does it. -
The install script detects architecture correctly, verifies downloads
against checksums before installing, and ships a proper icon, so a
corrupted or truncated download no longer gets installed as if it were
fine. -
Deleting an installed game asks for confirmation first, and favorite
toggles ignore clicks while a favorite change is still in flight, so
double clicks can no longer delete a game by accident or flip a
favorite twice. -
Timers started by the downloads, settings, and source game pages are
cleared when the page unmounts, so status updates no longer fire into
unmounted pages after navigation. -
The in-app gate solver is harder to trip up: hosts that reject
referer-less visits (megadb) now solve fully on their own after a
same-origin re-navigation, hidden decoy buttons no longer swallow the
download click, and a harvested Cloudflare clearance no longer keeps the
window hidden when an interactive challenge still needs a human click. -
GameBounty works again after the site moved its API to a v1 namespace on
the main domain, and ZeiGames search works again after the forum's result
markup changed. -
Fileditch links resolve again: the site now hands out signed
goonditch.com URLs with exp/sig parameters alongside the classic
md5/expires form, and both are accepted. -
Downloads no longer die at the first second on networks whose DNS
forwarder refuses aria2's async lookups: hostnames now resolve through
the operating system's resolver, which also honors /etc/hosts and local
name services. -
Download rows no longer carry statuses the queue can never produce
again; the renderer only recognizes statuses the backend actually
emits, so nothing gets stuck rendering a state that will never
resolve. -
Advanced Search's max year filter follows the current date instead of
a hardcoded year, so new releases stay reachable as time passes. -
Games with broken install manifests are surfaced instead of silently
hidden from the library. A damaged manifest previously made the whole
entry vanish from the scan with no explanation; the entry now shows up
marked as broken so it can be repaired or removed.
Changed
-
Updater manifests are built once per platform with friendly release
notes attached, replacing the per-job manifest race fixed in 3.6.10
with a cleaner per-platform build step in the release workflow. -
Hardcoded colors in the downloads, mods, and source game pages are
replaced with theme tokens, so those surfaces follow the active theme
and custom palettes like the rest of the app. -
Settings tooltip titles are consistently capitalized.
Removed
-
Upstream telemetry and the legacy user-history cookie: the UC Plus
hook, cloud collection calls, and the old history cookie are gone, so
the app no longer phones anything home from the upstream fork. -
The unused built-in asset protocol scope entry was dropped from the
Tauri config, keeping the asset protocol allowlist to what the app
actually serves.
