• Remove ICMP ping and SSH security group ingress restriction which only allowed IPv4 connections from where terraform apply was run. This is not very helpful since:
  • The server doesn't stay on all the time, and
  • It's annoying since it generates Terraform drift which you must correct if you want to SSH into the instances.
  • May associate IPs you don't have control over (e.g Terraform Cloud)
