Command Input 0.2.0 adds Universal Binary support, Apple notarization, event-tap recreation resilience, improved keyUp handling, and pure state machine abstractions with Swift Testing.

What's Changed

  • Extracted KeyRemapEngine as a pure state machine in CommandInputCore
  • Handled keyUp events so a Command tap while another key is held does not switch input modes
  • Added automatic recreation of dead event taps when re-enabling fails
  • Extracted LaunchAtLoginManager and LoginItemService protocol abstractions
  • Added unit test suite using Swift Testing and Package.swift (make test)
  • Built Universal Binary supporting both Apple silicon (arm64) and Intel (x86_64) (make compile-universal / make release)
  • Signed with Developer ID, Hardened Runtime enabled, notarized, and stapled
  • Bundled PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy privacy manifest (no tracking, no data collection, UserDefaults CA92.1)
  • Added make verify-release to validate version numbers and changelog headers
  • Added Japanese user documentation (README.ja.md)

Install

Download CommandInput-0.1.0.zip, unzip it, and move Command Input.app to /Applications. Grant Accessibility permission when prompted.

The zip is signed with Developer ID (Gajeroll LLC) but is not notarized in this release. The first launch may be blocked by Gatekeeper. Open the app from Finder with Control-click → Open, or build from source:

git clone https://github.com/gajeroll/command-input.git
cd command-input
make install

See SECURITY.md for what the event tap does and does not do.

Note: The CommandInput-0.1.0.zip release archive is signed with Developer ID but is arm64-only and not notarized. Please use 0.2.0 instead for a notarized Universal binary.
