Moniswitch v0.2.0: Mac support

The other computer can be a Mac

Press the shortcut. The monitor switches to the Mac, and the Windows keyboard and mouse go with it. Press it again and both come back.

What changed

  • Mac as the other computer. Input Link has a new LINUX / MAC choice. The Mac runs Deskflow's own client: no patches, no extra drivers.
  • Mac setup script. integration/macos/install-input-client.sh writes a private client configuration, pins the Windows certificate, and starts the receiver at login. --uninstall removes it.
  • Windows shortcuts on the Mac. Ctrl acts as ⌘ Command by default, so Ctrl+C copies and Ctrl+Q quits. Turn it off for Deskflow's native layout.
  • Clipboard with a Mac. On for Mac links. It stays off for Linux receivers, where clipboard data once took the keyboard and mouse down with it.
  • Bug reports now ask which platform the other computer runs.

What is true now

Mac support is experimental. We tested the generated configuration, the pinned TLS handshake, and wrong-pin rejection against the real Deskflow 1.26 programs. The launchd agent and the macOS Accessibility prompt have not met a real Mac yet. If you have one, tell us how it goes.

Settings from 0.1.0 load unchanged, as Linux.

Download

Moniswitch-win-x64.zip needs the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime on Windows. The executable is not code-signed, so SmartScreen may object on first launch.
