v2.0.0
IntelEngine v2.0
NPC autonomy and player-driven task framework for SkyrimNet.
IntelEngine has two parts:
Part 1 -- Player-Driven Actions
You tell NPCs what to do through natural conversation and they follow through physically across the entire game world.
- Schedule meetings, fetches, and message deliveries for any future time -- "meet me at sunset", "go get Ysolda after sunrise", "tell the Jarl tomorrow morning"
- NPCs calculate travel distance and depart early enough to arrive on time
- Lateness is tracked both ways. No-shows are remembered. Every outcome stays in the NPC's memory and shapes future dialogue
- Send NPCs to fetch someone and bring them back, deliver messages on your behalf, escort people to destinations, or lead you to find someone
- Change travel speed or cancel tasks mid-execution through dialogue
- Up to 5 concurrent active tasks and 10 scheduled tasks running simultaneously
- Every location in your load order is indexed at runtime -- mod-added places work automatically, fuzzy name matching handles typos, semantic directions like "upstairs" or "go home" just work
Part 2 -- Dungeon Master (AI-Driven Stories)
An LLM Dungeon Master observes the world and decides when NPCs should act on their own.
- NPCs seek you out because of unfinished business, old friendships, or something they heard
- Informants approach with real gossip traced to actual game events
- You bump into NPCs on the road who are traveling on their own business
- Hostile NPCs ambush you for real grudges -- stealth or charge, with a yield system when you beat them
- Obsessive NPCs secretly follow you until caught
- Couriers deliver messages from NPCs who can't come themselves, with optional meeting invitations
- NPCs ask you to clear enemies from locations, with a guide option and map marker
- NPCs interact with each other independently -- arguments, deals, training, gossip chains spreading through up to 10 people
- Every story event injects facts that persist in NPC bios and influence all future dialogue
All configurable through MCM. Every story type individually toggleable.
Requires: SKSE, SkyrimNet, SkyUI, PapyrusUtil, po3's Papyrus Extender
