v3.2.1

Improvement: Political director faction dropdowns

  • Replaced text inputs with dropdown selectors for faction A and faction B in the political event director
  • Dropdown shows all factions from factions.yaml with display name and ID

Fix: Dashboard Story Tab Showing Wrong Details

The "show details" panel in the Story tab could display information from a previous activity instead of the current one. Caused by an off-by-one in the social log where the detail list grew an extra entry each time, shifting all entries out of alignment. Saves affected by the bug are automatically repaired on load.

Fix: NPC Name Resolution with Multiple References

When an NPC had multiple persistent references in the game (common with some mods), the name lookup silently kept whichever reference it found first — which could be the wrong one. Now correctly resolves to the highest-priority reference and logs a warning when duplicates are detected.

Fix: Stuck tick watchdog

  • Politics, NPC interactions, and Story DM could permanently stop ticking if an LLM callback was lost (SkyrimNet crash, save reload mid-request, etc.)
  • Added a watchdog system that tracks pending state in the DLL — since the DLL loads fresh every game start, stale flags from saves are automatically detected and reset
  • Timeouts: 1 game-hour for politics/NPC ticks, 6 game-hours for story DM (which legitimately runs for hours)
  • Works on existing saves without ReSaver — no manual intervention needed

Fix: JSON escaping for non-ASCII names

  • Rewrote EscapeJsonString to properly handle UTF-8 multibyte characters (Cyrillic, CJK, etc.)
  • Non-ASCII characters are now emitted as \uXXXX JSON escapes, preventing broken JSON when NPC names contain special characters
  • Applied consistently across NPC index and dashboard JSON builders

Fix: Intelengine Quest Awareness for NPCs

IntelEngine quests previously appeared in SkyrimNet's NPC prompts as **IntelEngine** (None): Investigate the threat near Bandit — NPCs had no useful context about the player's active quest. Now, a SkyrimNet decorator provides rich, narrative quest descriptions (requires a new unreleased version of SkyrimNet at the time of writing this)
