Creating an Anki card from a word

Preparing Anki Connect

1. Make sure you have Anki and Anki Connect installed on your computer.
2. Set the appropriate Anki Connect settings in KonPon.
3. Launch Anki.

Selecting a word via a text

1. From the main window, double click on an imported text or click once on an imported text and then click the "View Text" button.
2. Double click on a word within the text.
3. From the "Word Info" dialog, click the "Create Anki Card" button.

Selecting a word via a word list

1. From the main window, click on the "View Word Lists" button or click the "View Word Lists" menu item in the "File" menu or use the CTRL+W shortcut.
2. From the "Word Lists" dialog, select a list from either the left-side dropdown menu or right-side dropdown menu.
3. Double click on a word within a list.
4. From the "Word Info" dialog, click the "Create Anki Card" button.

Creating an Anki card using the note types and deck types retrieved from Anki

1. Navigate to the "Anki Card Creation" dialog by following one of the above methods.
2. Select a note type by clicking the button to the right of "Note Type," selecting a note type from the list, and clicking Apply.
3. Select a deck type by clicking the button to the right of "Deck Type," selecting a deck from the list, and clicking Apply.
4. Enter any desired text into the note fields.
5. Enter any desired tags into the tag field. Multiple tags can be entered by entering a space between tags.
6. Insert Kana, Kanji, or Pitch Accents of the word into a note field by clicking the "Add to Field" button, selecting a field from the list, and clicking Apply.
7. Click the "Send to Anki" button to create the new card in Anki.

Tips

• In order for KonPon to retrieve note type and deck type data, please launch Anki before opening the "Anki Card Creation" dialog.
• In order for Anki to create a new card, please launch Anki before pressing the "Send to Anki" button.
• Text can be formatted by clicking on the buttons below "Note Type" and "Deck Type."
