This release of simtools, the simulation toolkit for the CTA Observatory, includes the following main changes:

Introduce consistent naming scheme for software and model version and tags. (#2466)
Separate the view cone metadata entry into two separate entries for the minimum and maximum view cone angles. This entry is used by the DIRAC file catalog. This change improves clarity and allows for more precise specification of the view cone range when searching for output files. (#2486)

Fix local-filesystem compatibility for calibration and simtel-array reports by normalizing missing-table errors and propagating telescope context to plotting lookups. (#2467)
Fix float precision for zenith/azimuth angles in CORSIKA config: angles are now stored with two decimal places instead of as integers, while output file names continue to use rounded integer values. (#2487)
Fix sign error in _rotate_azimuth_by_180deg that caused zero camera hits for azimuths other than 0 deg and 180 deg. CORSIKA uses a left-handed coordinate system, so the geographic azimuth must be negated before applying the +180° travel-direction reversal. The corrected formula is self-inverse, so the invert_operation parameter has been removed. (#2488)

Add machine-readable comparison statistics and configurable plot formats to simtools-compare-productions.
Compare selected array layouts independently and write each result to its own output directory. (#2449)
Add functionality to plot PSF images in degrees instead of cm, using the effective focal length.
This is controlled by the new plot_images_in_degrees argument in the optics validation application.
The plots include as well the name of the telescope in the annotation box. (#2461)
Support directory-based trigger-histogram production, glob-based input list selection for
write_reduced_event_lists, and consistent source-checkout imports for HTCondor workers. (#2464)
