Navi 1.2.1

Choose a tag to compare

@ganten1998 ganten1998 released this 15 Oct 01:01

1.2.1 fixes

  • Windows: navi.exe is self-contained now. 1.2.0 needed the Visual C++ redistributable (VCRUNTIME140.dll).
  • org-roam-navi never offers an older Navi: releases without SHA256SUMS are skipped, and org-roam-navi-update compares versions.
  • Tarball file modes fixed (navi.desktop and icon.png were 0600).

Navi in Emacs

Add this to your init and press C-c n g:

(use-package org-roam-navi
  :vc (:url "https://codeberg.org/ganten1998/navi")
  :bind ("C-c n g" . org-roam-navi))

The first run downloads the right Navi for your machine from this page and checks it against SHA256SUMS. From then on the graph follows the note you're in, double-clicking a node opens it in that Emacs (no server-start needed), Navi draws with your Emacs theme, re-reads the database when org-roam writes it, and closes with Emacs. It works from GUI and terminal frames alike.

Also new since 1.0.0

  • Groups (manual queries and automatic: folder, tag, component, community, file) with colours, hulls and pull
  • Named views per database, with a side panel (\) for views, filters, groups, physics and an inspector
  • A query language shared by search and groups
  • Orphans are now judged on what's actually shown
  • FreeBSD builds
