nightreign.exe frozen in task manager after DLC update

there's no errors or anything different but when I click on "launch NR" it just doesn't work. it's weird because when I try to run the game with me3, I see a loading animation and NR is open in the task manger but it uses no resource and it's not on my screen. should I wait for a new update for the dlc?
and let me mention that I deleted all of my mods but nothing changed.

Same situation here; I've tried launching both with ME3 Manager and directly via ME3 through terminal command. Launching with the NR exe works just fine, and this issue only came up after updating to DLC. Based on some of the mod comment threads on Nexus it's pretty clear the DLC changed/broke some stuff which is fairly normal for DLC to do. Still, a LOT of the NR mods hinge entirely on ME3 to function, so this one thing not working is problematic to say the least.

Compatibility with non-Steam copies of the game is done on a best effort basis. Complain to CODEX that your crack no longer works with me3.

u can download just the manifest if u get the download from xatab, it'll be a torrent file with the entire game but u can choose what to download

this is one of things that I said I couldn't do it. I searched for steam manifest and downloaded something that was completely different. I didn't care for it and just put it in the location that was in the guide without doing anything else.

try and see if you can make it work without the manifest files and if it didn't work, do what I did.

yeah we could talk somewhere else but I'd rather talk here so if someone else had the same problem and somehow find this page, they can find an answer for it.

yeah that's fair, i gave the pastebin a read and yeah this is pretty much how i got err to work on linux and i tried it just now for nightreign aswell but it still wont launch. I got the game from xatab and it seems to launch just fine normally but the me3 launch still doesn't work even thought i followed the pastebin

I don't know. l don't have any experience with linux. for ERR I just changed the mod directory to game mod folder and lunch it with ME2 launcher instead of ERR launcher and that solved the problem.

maybe just keep fiddling with it until you figure out the problem or look for another source to download the game from.

I didn't get this error. the me3 version 0.6 is the other thing that I didn't go for it. I downloaded the file but I accidentally used the latest version and that worked for me. I'm just using the the latest me3 and me3 manager and I have no problem.
