This one is mostly about making MdPipe nicer to actually use.
The first launch no longer leaves you staring at a vague message: the status bar now shows what it's downloading and how far along it is. Conversions can be cancelled midway with a new Cancel button, and the file that was in progress simply goes back to pending. You can drop entire folders onto the window and MdPipe will pick out everything it can convert, subfolders included. And it now remembers where you like to save your Markdown between sessions.
Under the hood, the app also picks up newly validated MarkItDown versions on launch (it just moved to 0.1.7, which brings upstream fixes for PowerPoint charts and Word equations), and two setup bugs are gone: the system proxy is now properly passed to the downloader, and reinstalls no longer fail quietly on read-only files.
Same deal as always: download MdPipe.exe below, double-click it, done. No installer, no .NET, no Python. If Windows shows the blue "protected your PC" box, click More info, then Run anyway.
Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
