Messages follow the SYSTEM's language when the process inherits no locale — the
normal case for an MCP server, which an agent starts rather than a shell.
detect() now consults /etc/locale.conf and /etc/default/locale before falling
back to English.

Linux only; macOS and Windows do not use those files and keep the English
fallback.
