What changed

  • Fixes the macOS desktop app getting stuck on the startup screen even when the Pi Web service is healthy.
  • Moves service readiness detection and navigation into the native Tauri wrapper.
  • Uses the exact loopback address 127.0.0.1:30141 and allows local networking on macOS.
  • Produces a clean, ad-hoc signed Apple Silicon app bundle inside the DMG.

Requirements

Pi Web Desktop still uses the globally installed @agegr/pi-web and @earendil-works/pi-coding-agent packages under the Homebrew /opt/homebrew prefix. Existing Pi sessions remain in ~/.pi/agent and are not included in the installer.

On first launch, macOS may ask for access to folders containing Pi session working directories. This release is not Apple-notarized; if Gatekeeper blocks the first launch, right-click the app and choose Open.
