The GEOET 1.5.9 release brings notable advancements. A key improvement is the integration of a new transpiration calculation method, as proposed by D'Amato & Rigon (2024). Additionally, a refined approach for determining the water stress factor has been added following Medlyn Stomatal Conductance Model (Medlyn et al., 2011).
Furthermore, users can now input vegetation height as a time-varying parameter, allowing for dynamic changes over a specified period. This offers a more accurate representation of vegetation growth and dynamics.
Lastly, the update enhances the simulation of long and shortwave radiation absorbed by the canopy, employing methods from de Pury (1995) and Ryu et al. (2011). This improvement provides a more comprehensive representation of the energy balance within the system.
