A Day in the Life of Lily
Lily starts her day by opening the fridge. There’s a carton of eggs, a block of cheese, and some leftover veggies. “I think I can make an omelet,” she mutters, mentally crossing breakfast off her list.
As she eats, she realizes she forgot to plan for lunch and dinner. “I’ll figure it out later,” she says, already running behind schedule.
At work, Lily chats with her colleague Ben, who mentions his weekly meal prep routine. “I plan all my meals on Sunday,” Ben says. “It saves time and helps me stick to my budget.”
Lily nods, thinking it sounds like a good idea, but she knows she doesn’t have the patience to plan an entire week in advance. “I just need something simple for a day or two at a time,” she thinks.
Lily decides to grab takeout for lunch, even though she promised herself she’d eat more home-cooked meals. “I wish I knew what to cook ahead of time,” she mutters while waiting in line.
On her way home, Lily stops by the grocery store. Without a list, she grabs a few random items: chicken, pasta, and some canned soup. “This should work for something,” she thinks, but she isn’t sure if it will cover the meals she has in mind.
Back home, Lily stares at the random groceries she bought. She flips through a cookbook but doesn’t find anything that matches the ingredients she has on hand. Frustrated, she throws together a basic pasta dish and vows to get more organized someday.
Create software to assist in meal prepping and keep track of ingredients in her kitchen, to save time and keep to her plan of eating more home-cooked meals.
