GWT Preview 1
Pre-releaseGWT's first standalone preview for Linux x86-64: readable policies, executable scenarios, source-backed decisions, and offline change review. This is an experimental prerelease for local evaluation.
Install
Start with gwt-0.1.0-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.gz (static Linux build) and its .sha256 file. Save both together, then:
sha256sum -c gwt-0.1.0-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.gz.sha256
tar -xzf gwt-0.1.0-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.gz
cd gwt-0.1.0-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl
sh install.sh --prefix "$HOME/.local"
export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"
gwt version --jsonThe executable needs no Rust or Python installation. Keep install.sh for removal with --uninstall; rerun the installation command to upgrade an existing Rust GWT installation.
The GNU alternative requires glibc 2.39+ and the shared libraries recorded in its manifest. Both builds were qualified on GitHub's Ubuntu runner; this is not a comprehensive Linux distribution/kernel support matrix. No macOS, Windows, or ARM binaries are included.
Try a policy change
Download and unzip delivery-example.zip, then run these commands from delivery-example/:
gwt validate proposed.gwt
gwt run proposed.gwt --request "quote delivery" --input parcel.json
gwt review delivery.corpus.json --candidate proposed.gwt --html delivery-review.html --decisions-template pending-decisions.jsonOpen delivery-review.html. Nine cases compare: two fees change from 9 to 5, while the zero-weight rejection and other boundaries remain intact. Decisions start pending. Use new output filenames on subsequent runs. delivery-review.html is also attached for an offline preview without installing GWT.
Identity, provenance, and limits
- Tag

release-manifest.jsonare attached.SHA256SUMScovers the attached payloads; hashes identify bytes and are not an independent signature. - Use this release's example with these binaries. The attached
gwt-core-0.1.0.cratesource package produces the same engine identity; a direct repository build has a different source manifest and requires its own captures or explicit migration. - No stability guarantee, production certification, or support SLA. Resource limits are not an OS sandbox. The host owns external effects; captured cases and HTML can contain sensitive facts and source, so review them before sharing.
- Human sessions remain pending and external pilots deferred. Automated checks do not demonstrate human-comprehension benefit.
GWT retains its name and MIT license. See the preview scope, installation guide, and full walkthrough.
