AppBox now remembers "Keep Same Link" for each app, the CLI gets flags for every install-page setting, and AppBox is now signed with Apple's new Developer ID G2 certificate.
New
- Keep Same Link is remembered per app. When you select an IPA, AppBox checks the latest upload of the same app (matched by bundle identifier). If that upload kept its link, the option turns on and its Dropbox folder is filled in, so the new build keeps the same short URL. You can still change either before uploading.
- The folder is shown under the Keep Same Link option on the Home screen.
- The Dashboard shows Keep Same Link and the Dropbox folder for every build. Builds that kept their link have a link icon in the build list.
CLI
- New install-page flags:
--moredetails/--no-moredetails,--ipalink/--no-ipalink,--previousversions/--no-previousversionsand--chunksize <MB>(1 to 150). - Each setting resolves in this order: flag, then the AppBox app's setting, then the built-in default. CI jobs can pin their own settings, and a machine that has never run AppBox behaves like a fresh install.
appboxcli listhas a newSAME LINKcolumn. It shows the Dropbox folder of builds uploaded with--keepsamelink, orno.- The CLI never turns on Keep Same Link by itself. Pass
--keepsamelink(and--dbfolderfor a custom folder) on every run that should keep the link.
Fixed
- CLI uploads follow your install-page settings. In 4.0.0 they ignored the app's settings and always hid the expanded build details.
- Nested custom folders (like
Team/QA) show their real folder in the Dashboard, including builds uploaded with earlier versions. - Deleting an app's last build only removes that app's folder. Before, it could remove the parent of a nested custom folder, along with other apps' builds in it.
Signing
- Signed with Apple's new Developer ID G2 certificate. AppBox, the DMG and
appboxcliare signed through the Developer ID Certification Authority G2 and notarized. Apple is retiring the original Developer ID intermediate certificate on February 1, 2027 (Apple Developer news). - Earlier releases like 4.0.0 keep launching after that date, because they were notarized with a secure timestamp.
- This only changes how the AppBox Mac app is signed. It doesn't affect how your IPAs are signed or installed over the air.
