Install
- Browser edition: unzip
cadcraft-browser-edition-v0.7.0.ziponto any web server (or runpython3 -m http.server 8000inside it) and open it. INSTALL.md in the folder has the rest. - Desktop: install CadCraft Studio for Windows or Linux.
What's in 0.7
Much of 0.7 was asked for on Discord. PDF underlays with PDFATTACH (snap to their lines, fade, clip, switch the PDF's own layers) and PDFIMPORT to lines, arcs, hatches and text. Scanned drawings with SCANATTACH and the scan clean-up commands, and SCANTRACE, which draws a scan's lines as lines and arcs on a layer of their own (nothing is sent anywhere and no trained model is used; its report is not a claim that the result is right), with RASTERSNAP. Real splines with SPLINE and SPLINEDIT, PEDIT, WBLOCK, REGEN and REGENALL. Paragraph text keeps its formatting; a dimension style manager (DIMSTYLE, DIMEDIT, DIMTEDIT); your own scales with SCALELISTEDIT; DXF files in Cyrillic, Korean, Chinese, Japanese or Vietnamese code pages open with their text. More in plot style tables (reading CTB files is not built yet), and Print…, PNG and SVG from the Plot dialog. Other programs' 3D solids show read only on the 3D tab and are saved back unchanged in DWG. REGISTERSCANS joins several scans into one LAS or E57 file, and USDOUT writes USD. The LASER panel cuts, scores and engraves by layer and saves GRBL G-code, with its settings kept in the drawing (not yet run on a real machine). The Electrical add-on gains building symbols and RCDs; a P&ID add-on comes switched off until you turn it on. TOUR, a cheat sheet and a command map, and the toolbar on any side or in fewer rows (sent as a pull request by GJoe2). In CadCraft Studio: History, acad.lsp and acaddoc.lsp, and the Plot dialog in its own window. More tools for your own AI assistant (the app contains no AI). Every app gets unit lists, a Compact layout, panels that tidy away, dialogs that move and two new workspace layouts (Ribbon and project browser, Toolbox and info box), in the browser and in CadCraft Studio. Português (Portugal) is new; it, Português (Brasil), Español (México) and Bahasa Indonesia are machine-made drafts, not yet reviewed.
Notices
- Nothing in 0.7 is code-signed; code signing and the Microsoft Store come in 0.8. This browser edition needs no installer; CadCraft Studio's installers are not signed yet. Windows SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC": choose More info, then Run anyway; the publisher shows as unknown. The Microsoft Store package is built but not in the Store yet, and the website's Windows package (MSIX) is not published: it is never published unsigned. Check the SHA-256 first.
- iPad, iPhone and Google Play moved to 0.8 with the signing. There is no iPad or iPhone build yet, and nothing is in an app store.
- Português (Portugal) (new), Português (Brasil), Español (México) and Bahasa Indonesia in Settings › General › Language are machine-made drafts, not yet reviewed by a native speaker.
- Updates: CadCraft Studio 0.7 checks getcadcraft.com for a newer version once a day (Settings › Updates) and always asks before installing; it installs only packages signed with CadCraft's update key. A copy older than 0.7 can't update itself: install 0.7 once from this page or the download page.

What's in 0.6
Most of 0.6 is what you asked for on Discord. ALIGN (by one, two or three point pairs, with scaling) and an Align and distribute panel. Type a calculation wherever a length, point, angle or number is asked (4+7/16, 12'6"+3/4", (24'-0")/3, 2*450mm), with CAL to print a value. Title blocks and attribute blocks: double-click to edit, ATTEDIT, BATTMAN, ATTSYNC and REFEDIT, all kept in DWG and DXF. Totals for a selection in Properties and the status bar. TRIMEXTENDMODE and a window drag for trim and extend. Paste a picture from the clipboard. EXPORTPOINTS writes points for BIM and survey programs, and ASBUILT compares the points a crew measured. Two free sample drawings (CC0) with a "Learn from a sample" walkthrough. E57, PLY, PCD and Leica PTX point clouds. MARKERNEST in the Apparel add-on lays out markers by itself. A second round adds plot style tables kept per sheet, dimensions in mm, cm, m or km, the coordinate system and map layers saved in the drawing (and a geographic location other programs read in DWG 2010+ and DXF 2000), STRETCH with a selection made first, a setting for what an empty click does, who changed an object last in a live session, and pen and touch. Fixed (reported on Discord): mirrored and upside-down blocks and hatches from other programs, objects in a tilted plane, and DWG dimensions that jumped once edited. DWG from Release 12 and earlier now gets a plain message (it still doesn't open). Every app gets Show bars, Reset the layout, a toolbar menu and an interface size. Spanish (es-MX) and, new, Bahasa Indonesia are machine-made drafts, not yet reviewed.

Check a file before you run it: certutil -hashfile <file> SHA256 on Windows, sha256sum <file> on Linux. SHA256SUMS below lists all of them.
Install
- Windows 10 or 11: run
CadCraft-0.4-setup.exe. It installs for your user only, with no administrator rights. - Linux (Debian, Ubuntu):

What's in 0.4
Save DWG in six versions (2000 to 2018) with sheets, real dimensions and hatch patterns kept, plus DXF 2000. Sheet sets: title blocks filled from the set, one PDF with bookmarks, zip archive. Rebuilt Properties panel. Trim by dragging, lasso selection, split screen, several drawings in tabs, touch screens. New tools: chamfer, hatch, paragraph text, multileaders, stretch, array, quick select, linetypes, layer tools, xrefs, PUBLISH. 3D: union, subtract, intersect, revolve, sweep. LISP routines (APPLOAD) and your own aliases. Add-ons, with the Electrical add-on included. Draft Spanish, not yet reviewed. Recover your work after a crash. Fixed: mirrored blocks.
