Description

Currently Home Assistant widget does not work and giving API Error: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data message.

I can ping homeassistant.lan:8123 from the docker container.

you put href instead of url

I don't think the widget is broken generally so Im guessing you have an error in your config. Have you tried removing the custom field to see if it works without that? Then add the parts back one at a time

I am getting the same message after removing the custom section:

Is there anything i need do on the HA side?

From homepage docker container, when I ping http://homeassistant.lan:8123 I get ping: bad address 'http://homeassistant.lan:8123'. However, I can ping homeassistant.lan:8123 (without http://).

The error I am getting on homepage for this widget is API Error: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data. Is there a way to see the JSON data?

If you leave off custom it will use the default queries, which are a bit more complicated but the state fields would be e.g.

Ok so I tried with both:
http://homeassistant.lan:8123/api/states/binary_sensor.lumi_lumi_sensor_magnet_aq2_opening_2 and
homeassistant.lan:8123/api/states/binary_sensor.lumi_lumi_sensor_magnet_aq2_opening_2. They both responded with:

Seems like the proper response. could it have anything to do with the fact that i cannot get a ping issue I mentioned before where I get a bad address message when http:// is added to url:
