Updated pi-hole from 5 to 6 and the API key does not work anymore

Updated pi-hole from 5 to 6 and the API key in homepage no longer works. I get bad requests.

Here is the solution...

In the Pi-Hole GUI -
1 access System-> Settings->Web interface/API
2 toggle the "Basic" to "Expert"
3 click on Configure app password (you may have to hover the key to actually see it)
4 Copy and paste the new key into the Homepage setup for Pi-Hole

Shamoon, we are in agreement regarding the issue with the application's Homepage API token, which stopped working after upgrading Pihole to version 6. I have reviewed the points you mentioned and attempted the suggested steps, but unfortunately, it didn’t resolve the problem. I am currently looking for an alternative solution.

Here is the solution...

In the Pi-Hole GUI -

can confirm this still isnt working for me

new api password set a number of times to be sure

reboot of VM running pihole as well to be safe

Jouster1974, that issue was not resolved. I suggested that the homepage developer update the application to be compatible with Pi-hole v6.
