Remove a contact, clear the Nearby room, and see stuck messages get through
Someone's profile now has Remove contact in its menu. It deletes your chat with them from this phone and
doesn't tell them; people you share a group with stay in your contacts while you're both in it. A long press
on the Nearby room in the chat list clears it, as with any other chat, and only your phone forgets the
messages. A GIF now shows as "GIF" rather than "Photo".
A lot of messages that used to stall now get through: one left on a single tick after you both wrote first
out of range, posts from someone you hadn't met that took ten minutes or a day to appear, chats unreadable
for hours after a restore, and two contacts who added each other by link waiting on "Waiting for their
device to answer". If the phone's secure storage doesn't respond when Knit starts, Knit waits and offers Try
again, where before it could delete your messages.
Fixed: a group photo flipping back to the old one, a contact's new name or photo going missing, a cropped
profile photo lost when you left the screen, a slow Bluetooth join near phones with their screens off,
battery spent looking for a LoRa board that's switched off, attachment spinners that never stopped, LoRa
airtime spent re-sending delivery ticks, a relay indicator promising coverage for a contact on an older Knit,
and a stranger's group skipping Message Requests.
