Maintainer diagnostic reports are on by default for self-hosted instances. Upgrading activates an external reporting channel where previous versions sent nothing: instances send privacy-limited failure reports (normalized error codes, build, sanitized stack frames, occurrence counts) to the official OpenPost receiver through a bounded queue that never blocks application work and never touches the application database. Set OPENPOST_DIAGNOSTICS_ENABLED=false to opt out; the environment disable always wins and clears pending reports. Browser reports additionally stop on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
The official receiver (POST /api/v1/diagnostics/ingest, enabled with OPENPOST_DIAGNOSTICS_INGEST_ENABLED plus the server-only OPENPOST_DIAGNOSTICS_DISCORD_WEBHOOK_URL) validates, quota-limits, and forwards accepted cross-instance reports to the maintainer Discord channel.
Uncaught browser exceptions and unhandled promise rejections now report through the viewer's own instance as normalized codes with app-relative locations, never message text. Chunk-load deployment skew stays excluded.
Send feedback is now one click away in the app sidebar, the mobile More menu, and the Video and Image Editor headers, and onboarding invites new workspaces to report anything missing or broken.
