• Keep generated captions aligned in preview and export when their source clip starts later in the timeline. Trim exported captions to the retained clip.

• Read and edit video transcripts as flowing text. Click words to seek, drag or Shift-click to select, correct captions, add selected text to the timeline, or cut the matching footage with undo. Search, playback following, pause markers, and detailed caption controls stay within the same panel.
• Simplify the Video Editor asset rail and Motion layer rows. Show placement guidance, rejected drop feedback, the active Motion composition, and skim time. Remember the selected panel, playhead, zoom, and scroll position on this device.
• Video recording prefers native H.264 when supported and appends capture data in a storage worker, reducing encoding and disk work while preserving recovery files.
• The Video Editor recorder separates source setup, recording controls, and saving progress, with fewer controls visible during capture.
• Hosted registration temporarily collects emails for the launch waitlist while the remaining social platform approvals are completed. Signups need no password or verification email. Existing accounts can still sign in, and self-hosted registration is unchanged.
• Waitlist emails are saved once and sent to the configured billing Discord channel through the job queue. Set OPENPOST_HOSTED_WAITLIST_ENABLED=false to reopen Hosted registration.
• Updated the Android package to 0.2.47 (49) for the shared API and built-in theme changes in this release.
• The landing-page tour now shows a small release-to-draft workflow. Workflows has a dedicated feature section, matching artwork, share previews, and links from the documentation home and README.

• Simplified Video Editor properties with expandable crop, playback, appearance, anchor, pitch, and advanced audio controls. Modified crop, playback, and appearance settings stay marked when closed.
• Reduced preview toolbar clutter while keeping frame capture and in/out actions in its menu. Scene detection is available from clip actions.
• Made transcript setup start with language and Auto-captions, with model settings under Advanced and download size visible. Existing transcripts keep generation setup collapsed so the words stay in view.

Added

• Canvas format presets for landscape, vertical, square, and feed videos. Applying a format preserves frame rate and clip placement and can be undone in one step.
• Trim a selected Video Editor clip's start or end to the playhead from Properties. Linked audio and attached captions follow the trim, later clips stay in place, and Undo restores the whole edit.
• Add media at the playhead or at the end of the sequence from its menu. The source monitor can also append a marked range.
• Illustrated Workflows guide and examples for feed digests, AI decisions, custom API data, and scheduling after review.
