Event not symbolicated - missing debug meta image for user code

Steps to reproduce

A user reported via Zendesk that their event is not being symbolicated.
Processing shows an error stating that the debug file for libc.so.6 cannot be found, but this likely isn’t the real cause.

Expected result

The events are symbolicated

Actual result

The events are not symbolicated

The customer reported that the solution we suggested solved the issue, hence I'm closing this.

For posterity, here's what happened:

• Event was not getting symbolicated
• The customer was uploading debug files correctly, as described in our docs: https://docs.sentry.io/platforms/rust/source-context/
• The SDK was not sending an entry for the binary itself in the debug_meta field of the payload, only for libraries
• The customer was not using a standard cargo build, but rather cargo lambda build: https://www.cargo-lambda.info/
• The problem was solved by running the build (cargo lambda build in this case) with the following environment variable: RUSTFLAGS="-Clink-args=-Wl,--build-id".
