GitLab Integration does not work with actual Service accounts

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a GitLab service account as suggested by the documentation
2. Setup the GitLab application
3. Configure the Sentry integration
4. Wait for a place to put in the Personal access token for the service account...

Expected Result

There is a way to provide the PAT for a GitLab (service) account, that will then own the integration.

Actual Result

Configuration is completed by redirecting to the OAuth flow, with no option to put in an PAT instead. As actual gitlab service accounts don't support logging in through the UI or OAuth authentication, it seemingly is only possible to use a regular account setup as a service account (which costs a seat).

I would really like to see this too ❤️ Setting up a paid Gitlab user just for the Sentry integration is expensive.

I came here to report missing documentation, because in the documentation, it says to use the service account:

Note

We recommend creating a dedicated service account on GitLab when installing this integration rather than using a personal user account. The service account should have owner or maintainer permissions in GitLab.

Since the integration uses personal access tokens for authentication, activities such as comments and work item creation will be attributed to the GitLab user who created the tokens.

Using a service account helps maintain proper access control, prevents disruption when team members leave, and ensures consistent attribution for all features across your organization.

After creating the GitLab service account, you will need to sign into Sentry with an user account that has owner, manager, or admin permissions to install the integration.
