v1.7.2
aa7816d

The interactive terminal tells the program that launched it what it is doing,
and a model that writes its tool calls as prose gets them run more often. No
protocol change, so an editor sees a 1.7.1-shaped agent.

Added

  • Program status in the interactive terminal. siGit Code now writes an
OSC 7501 record (app=sigit) as its state changes, so a terminal that
tracks program status can show it: idle, working, done, error, and
blocked with kind=permission, question or auth while it waits on the
user. Repeated states are collapsed, a write failure is ignored rather than
ending the turn, and the root record is deliberately left alone on exit, so
a bare clear cannot wipe another program's records (#235).

Fixed

  • More inline tool calls are recovered. Models that write a call into the
content as text instead of the tool channel are now understood in more
spellings: a DSML envelope named function_calls or bare calls as well as
tool_calls, a closer that puts its slash before the bar
(</|DSML|invoke>), and the <minimax:tool_call> wrapper around
<invoke name="…"> with parameters written either as
    <parameter name="k">v</parameter> or <k>v</k>. The tokenizer's
]<]minimax[>[ special token, which leaks into content between tags and in
prose, is stripped instead of being left in the reply and in history (#249).
  • Headless mode says when a tool round is the last one. The round that
reaches the cap is answered in text with no tools, which the model could not
see, so it spent its final reply announcing a step that would never run. That
round's last tool result now carries a note giving the round count, saying no
tools remain and that nobody is there to reply. The interactive client has
said this for a while; headless was left without it (#250).

Docs

  • A README for sigit-agent. The crate a host embeds had no front page.
It now has a short one: what the profile offers, and a serve example that
notes the host must call it from inside a tokio runtime.
