Most users should download TextbookLens_0.1.0_x64-setup.exe. The MSI package is intended for administrators and managed installation. TextbookLens_User_Guide.docx contains the offline user guide.

Important security notice

These installers are not code-signed. Windows SmartScreen may show an unknown-publisher warning. Verify the downloaded file against SHA256SUMS.txt before choosing Run anyway.

API keys are stored in Windows Credential Manager. TextbookLens does not include an account, cloud synchronization, bundled AI credit, telemetry, or an automatic updater.

Release status

The local unsigned V1 release gate passed with documented exceptions. Code signing, timestamping, automatic updates, and several manual accessibility/provider checks are not complete. See the repository release checklist for the exact evidence and limitations.
