After the recent release of PMD: https://github.com/pmd/pmd/releases/tag/pmd_releases%2F7.0.0-rc1
The hook stopped working, throwing the above error.

I see that in their latest release PMD had removed the run.sh file from their distribution.
https://github.com/pmd/pmd/tree/pmd_releases/7.0.0-rc1/pmd-dist/src/main/resources/scripts

And it is now replaced by pmd executable.
The code of this hook should be made compatible with the new distribution of PMD 7.0

I had a quick look and version 7 is still in Release Candidate: for the time being I'll hardcode the latest V6 and bump the minor version of the hook when v7 becomes stable.
