CLEAR v1.0.0 marks the first stable release of the modelcardgen tool, graduating from alpha to production-ready status. This release stabilizes the core API for generating model cards and risk reports from ML evaluation outputs, introducing a mature data model layer with comprehensive Pydantic validation, improved metric interpretation logic for converting raw evaluation metrics into human-readable findings, and a polished Click-based CLI interface for both report generation and metrics validation.
The release includes full Python 3.10+ support with type hints, complete test coverage across all six test modules, and refined Jinja2 templating for customizable markdown output. Key improvements include resolution of dependency declarations (formal addition of click and pyyaml), documentation enhancements with working examples and generated sample reports, and removal of alpha limitations.
The offline-first, framework-agnostic architecture is now fully stable, allowing users to confidently integrate CLEAR into production ML workflows without external API dependencies. This release establishes a long-term API compatibility commitment going forward.
