Tank Monitor Console Simulator v0.1.1
Windows installer for the Tank Monitor Console Simulator, version 0.1.1.
Installing it
Download TankMonitorConsoleSimulator-0.1.1-Setup.exe below and run it. It
installs for your user account only, so it does not need administrator rights
and does not ask for a password.
Already have 0.1.0? Help -> Check for updates inside the app does the rest.
Windows will warn you, and that is expected
This installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows
"Windows protected your PC" the first time you run it. To continue:
- Click More info
- Click Run anyway
That warning means "we have not seen this file before", not "this file is
harmful". To confirm the download is byte-for-byte what was published here,
SHA256SUMS.txt below lists its SHA-256. In PowerShell:
Get-FileHash "TankMonitorConsoleSimulator-0.1.1-Setup.exe" -Algorithm SHA256
What changed since 0.1.0
- The installer's file name now matches its checksum. In 0.1.0 the file
was built with spaces in its name, and GitHub rewrites spaces to dots when
it serves a release asset, so the name on this page and the name inside
SHA256SUMS.txtdid not look the same. Anyone verifying a download by eye
saw a mismatch that was not real. The hash itself was always correct, and
the in-app updater was never affected, since it checks by hash rather than
by name. - Two source files were missing their licence header and now have it. The
program was fully licensed either way, under the GPL-3.0 inLICENSE.
Nothing about how the simulator behaves has changed. The console, the serial
protocol and the bench are identical to 0.1.0.
What it is
A training and bench simulator for TLS-350 compatible tank monitor consoles:
the same keys, the same MODE / FUNCTION / STEP walk, the same setup and
diagnostic menus, the same serial protocol. The manufacturer's manuals are
the manual for this simulator too.
