Wrong color/style of clear liquid glass icon on macOS 26

Issue Description

Ghostty icon is gray instead of clear on macOS 26.3.1 set to clear Liquid Glass icons. This happens on fresh Ghostty install (Homebrew), with no custom config set. Icon should look like all of the other apps (in my case it should show blue wallpaper below)

Expected Behavior

Icon should be transparent glass, same as all other apps.

Actual Behavior

Icon is gray.

Reproduction Steps

1. Set MacOS 26 icon settings to Clear + Auto

3. Open Ghostty
4. Observe the icon has wrong color:

I'm on macOS 26.3 and can confirm that I'm having the same issue.

This might sound counter intuitive, but you can fix this by:

1. Open system preferences
2. Open Login Items & Extensions
3. Find Ghostty and disable Dock Tile

This extension tries to dynamically update the icon style. However, it only supports changing icons to a particular static image rather than a proper icon format, meaning the system is not able to determine the background from the foreground.

The fix will be in 1.3.2, which is not yet released, you can use tip version tho

Still reproducing on Ghostty 1.3.1 / macOS 26.4.1. With the tinted/clear Dock icon style, Ghostty's icon stays flat gray while every other app tints correctly.

Confirming the Dock Tile workaround does fix it: System Settings → Login Items & Extensions → disable Ghostty's 'Dock Tile' extension, then the icon tints like the rest.

So the fix in e740f6f / 1.3.2 doesn't seem to fully cover it yet — the Dock Tile extension still overrides the layered icon for tinting on 1.3.1.

Hi, I can confirm this issue is still happening with the latest macOS and Ghostty when writing this using the "Tinted" Dock icon style.
I am using these versions of Ghostty and macOS :
