Issue Description

when I exit latest claude code 2.1.83 using /q on macOS 26.4 and try to click control+c i get 9;5u text in terminal instead

Expected Behavior

I expect control+c to work as expected not get 9;5u text in my terminal

Actual Behavior

I get 9;5u in terminal and keeps adding up as much as I click control+c

Open ghossty
run claude
quite using /q
click control+c

This is a Claude bug and probably not a Ghostty bug - see anthropics/claude-code#38761 (comment) for a workaround and more information about what's going on. It seems to also be broken in VSCode terminal, according to anthropics/claude-code#38829, so there is probably not a concomitant Ghostty bug.
