What do you want to change?

I have come across two annoying issues that I described in #13583 and #13448 for which I included patch files in the discussion comments.

Why do you want to make this change?

The issues are ones I believe are genuine bugs and the fixes were very simple to implement. I already included patch files in the relevant discussions so it seemed reasonable enough to just fork ghostty and prepare branches for PRs instead.

I think Ghostty has the best font rendering (objectively and subjectively) and these patches fix two issues that are annoying to work around. I have contributed to several other projects in the past, namely anametologin's Krohnkite, neurocyte's Flow editor, and a couple others.
