What do you want to change?

I’d like to help complete the remaining Japanese translations, coordinating with #14094 to avoid duplicating work.

Longer term, I’m interested in ways for external tools to read terminal screen contents, receive change notifications, and interact with existing sessions. I’ll discuss specific AppleScript or Shortcuts proposals in a separate discussion.

Why do you want to make this change?

I previously contributed Japanese translations in #7122 and would like to continue contributing to Ghostty.

While developing TTYbird, I wanted to let users preview existing terminal sessions without restarting them or moving them into another environment. This led me to ask about screen access and external integration in Discussion #2353.

I’d like to start with translation work and explore these integration ideas with feedback from the maintainers.
