Window becomes unresponsive after resize on macOS Tahoe 26.1 #9590

Long shot since it looks like you can reproduce this with a blank config, i.e., no global keybinds, but I'd recommend trying to reset accessibility permissions following the steps here: #9047 (comment). There have been some issues with these not getting properly carried over when upgrading macOS version. |

I've updated the version in the initial post. I’ve been using Ghostty for months and never had any issues. I started experiencing this problem today after a macOS update. |

Hi, just wanted to add that I experienced similar freezes after updating to Tahoe 26.1. I was already wondering why I couldn't find any reports about it. I am using fish as well, and a 100% reproducible freeze on my system is that right after starting Ghostty, I type a char and then try to complete the fish suggestion with "cursor right" key (it's working fine in other terminal apps). I found out that at least on my system, this is linked to the "Secure Keyboard Input" setting. If I disable it, I don't get any freezes. (I just checked with resizing the window and I get freezes, too, with "Secure Keyboard Input" on, but none when I turn it off) |

Issue Description
Since updating to macOS Tahoe 26.1 Ghostty freezes after resizing the window. During the freeze, I cannot type, and the application remains unresponsive for several seconds before recovering. I tried reinstalling via Homebrew, then downloading the latest stable release directly, and finally trying the nightly release. Same behavior
Expected Behavior
no freeze
