GeoSuite v3.1.0 brings a consistent guided Core → Assay → Resource workflow with editable parameters and directly accessible advanced tools.

  • Core: findings identify the exact source records/cells. Correct verified measurements, revalidate, or continue with independently valid holes using a required reason and recorded exclusions. Raw sources and unresolved regional findings remain preserved.
  • Assay: guided review, optional advanced analysis and explicit reviewed treatments retain their parameter history and grade units through handoff.
  • Resource: clearer estimation stages, actual block geometry, grade ranges and linear/quantile/custom colours. Display filters stay separate from calculation/report cutoffs.
  • Reports: executive PDF covers followed by methods, actual scope/parameters and correction/review records. Long processing notes paginate without dropping entries or overlapping timestamps/footers.
  • Mobile and installed web app: consistent navigation, touch targets and EN/ID tours; online/offline recovery preserves project storage. Web headers no longer display the Free Web badge.

Download Orebit-Core.exe, Orebit-Assay.exe, and Orebit-Resource.exe for Windows x64. The EXEs are unsigned and use Microsoft WebView2. geosuite-3.1.0-web.zip is the complete local web distribution for Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS; extract the whole ZIP and follow START-HERE.txt. Source ZIP/tar archives are available below. Check downloaded binaries/web ZIP against SHA256SUMS.txt; resolved desktop build dependencies are recorded in PYTHON-DEPENDENCIES.txt.

Browser regression, public numerical/import/platform CI, Windows EXE build and embedded-asset checks are recorded separately. Native Windows GUI and the owner's existing Safari/Dock profile are separate device acceptance checks. Geological solids, topographic clipping and Resource exact partial-cell filled volumes remain under development; screening support does not establish a geological ore volume or a compliant classified resource.

A GitHub release does not itself update the hosted production site. Hosted deployment is a separate verified promotion of the tested artifact.

Validation: all 46 cloud PR suites plus the gate passed on the clean versioned application source. Public CI and the Windows release workflow passed. All three downloaded EXEs have Windows x64 version 3.1.0.0; their embedded module HTML and vendored libraries exactly match the web ZIP. The web ZIP manifest, all embedded file hashes, and the four SHA256SUMS entries were independently verified before publication. Native Windows GUI/device acceptance is separate.

GeoSuite v3.0.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 26 Sep 08:04

GeoSuite is now free and open source under GPL-3.0. The Desktop Edition no longer asks for a licence key.

Download

File Module
Orebit-Core.exe Import, validation, desurvey, QAQC
Orebit-Assay.exe Statistics, top-cut, domaining, compositing, variography
Orebit-Resource.exe Block model, kriging / IDW, grade–tonnage, report

Windows 10/11. Each EXE runs offline on its own. Mac, Linux, ChromeOS: open
geosuite.orebit.id/Core.html and choose Install app
(Safari: File → Add to Dock).

What changed

  • Open source, no licence gate. GPL-3.0, no account, no trial, no key.
  • Numbers that were silently wrong are fixed. Estimation respects domain boundaries.
Metal removed by the top-cut is weighted by sample length. Downhole variograms pair samples
in 3D, and auto-fit no longer forces a 60 % nugget. Composite coordinates follow the hole.
The same data gives the same result every run.
  • Assay: commodity picker and grade-shell domains.
  • Core: imports depths in feet and reads TD/EOH collar depth columns.
  • Resource: reports high/medium/low confidence instead of resource categories.
  • Workflow: modules hand files to each other without download and re-upload.
  • Install: GeoSuite installs as an offline app on Mac, Linux and ChromeOS.
  • Tutorials: two tutorials on real public drill-hole data, Thalanga VMS and Babbitt Cu-Ni,
    in English and Indonesian: geosuite.orebit.id/tutorials.

Ringkas (ID): GeoSuite kini open source (GPL-3.0) dan tanpa license key. Beberapa
perhitungan yang diam-diam salah sudah diperbaiki:

  • batas domain pada estimasi
  • metal removed top-cut tertimbang panjang sampel
  • variogram 3D tanpa nugget 60% paksa
  • koordinat komposit
  • hasil yang konsisten

Ada juga dua tutorial data nyata di geosuite.orebit.id/tutorials.

Orebit GeoSuite v2.9.5

@ghoziankarami ghoziankarami released this 20 Sep 04:30

Data-integrity release. Bare element headers (Cu, Pb, Zn, S, Fe) keep the right unit: ppm is recognised as ppm instead of being read as a percent grade. Sulphur and other elements are no longer dropped on import, Indonesian column headers are recognised in Core and Assay, and Assay warns when it had to assume a unit. Assay restores the 3D drill-trace, domain-solid DXF and collar-map PNG exports. Full notes: https://geosuite.orebit.id/docs/

Resource module Project Manager dialog now shares the same styling code as Core and Assay -- an internal consistency fix with no visible change to behavior. Full notes: https://geosuite.orebit.id/docs/

Apply log-transform (ln) now shows that it worked instead of appearing to do nothing, and two Multivariate/Bivariate hint texts that overclaimed Domain-tab spatial mapping have been corrected with new documentation explaining what each feature actually does. Orebit GeoSuite v2.9.2

Desktop Edition no longer loses your saved projects on close. The EXE was launching with a temporary, throwaway browser profile every time, so anything it should have remembered — saved projects, your last-open project, language choice, Resource's saved variogram and block settings — was gone the moment you closed the app. Everything now persists to one folder (%APPDATA%\Orebit\webview) next to your license file.

The data-source line is now always on, always accurate, and links to where you fix it. It can no longer be dismissed permanently, it has a reading for a partial import ("still built-in: geology") — the exact situation that caused the original confusion — and it now links straight to the Import tab so seeing "Sample data" comes with a next step, not just a warning.

The PDF manual has its screenshots back. The generator silently skipped every one of its 16 figures, so the v2.9.1 manual shipped with zero images despite the same screenshots rendering fine on the site and in the app. Fixed, and future releases auto-generate a fresh manual instead of shipping a stale or missing one.

"How to read this" links under a chart now land you on the right paragraph instead of the top of a long page. Five captions across Core and Assay (Section, Well Log, Bivariate, Composite Length Sensitivity, Stats) needed correcting to point at their actual row in the documentation.

Free for personal and commercial use, offline, no account required.

Your own data is now clearly labelled as yours. Every module shows a "SAMPLE DATA" banner while the built-in Thalanga example is loaded, so a screenshot or an exported report can never be mistaken for your own project.

Plot captions got shorter, and the depth moved somewhere better. The long "how to read this" text under each chart is now one sentence plus a link into the built-in documentation, which carries the fuller explanation and works offline. Twenty captions went from 1,351 words to 762 without losing anything — the docs versions are more thorough than the captions were.

Column mapping says what it actually means. The status legend claimed yellow meant "extra columns" when it means the opposite: your required columns are all present, but some optional ones were not found. It now names the missing columns instead of only counting them, and the word "canonical" is gone in favour of "standard".

Desurvey no longer names a convention after a sample dataset. The auto-detected dip convention read "positive-down (Thalanga convention)" even on your own data; it now states the technical fact and nothing else.

Removed the version banner from the dashboard. It duplicated the profile menu, and its "See what's new" link pointed at a page that never existed. The profile menu still shows your version and a working updates link.

Under the hood: the last of the hardcoded bilingual text moved into the translation dictionary, so switching to Indonesian now reaches strings that previously stayed English.

Bahasa Indonesia

Pemetaan kolom kini menyatakan maksud sebenarnya.

Desktop Edition — download the module you need below, or the bundle for all three. Windows, no installer, runs offline.

Open your data straight from Google Drive. Core can now pull CSV files out of Google Drive without downloading them to your machine first, and you can select several files in one go instead of repeating the picker for each one.

Mobile navigation no longer eats the screen. The sub-tabs used to stack into a strip across the bottom of a phone, taking working space away from the data and sitting too close together to hit reliably. They now live in a slide-out drawer behind a menu button next to the logo, and the bottom bar carries only the main sections.

Exported chart images are readable again. PNGs saved for slides and reports came out on a black background, and their axis titles and tick labels were sized for the screen rather than the exported image, so they arrived too small to read. Both are fixed: the background is white and text is scaled to the image being written.

Progress and status messages stay visible on a phone. The Compute All Plots progress panel and the app's notification messages were sliding underneath the bottom navigation bar, and on narrow screens the progress panel was clipped off the side entirely.

Bahasa Indonesia is now complete. The last untranslated interface strings across Core, Assay and Resource have been translated, and a check now runs on every change so the count can only go down.

Also: tap targets on phones and tablets now meet the 44px minimum instead of shrinking to 40px, tables and desktop panels no longer cut off content or waste space, and Resource no longer truncates a "g/t" unit label to "g".

Under the hood: all three modules now read CSV files through one shared parser instead of three separate implementations, so an import fix in one module is an import fix everywhere.

Switch tools without leaving the app. Core, Assay and Resource now link to each other directly from the header — finishing Core and starting Assay used to mean closing the tool and going back to the download page. (Desktop app users: this only appears in the browser version for now: each EXE is a separate, license-locked download with no shared file to link to yet.)

Export PNG for charts and maps, everywhere. Dashboard, the Collar Map, Section view and Strip Log in Core, and every chart in Assay and Resource (34 in total) now have their own Export PNG button, sized consistently for slides and documentation rather than whatever your window happened to be at the time.

Save All Plots (ZIP) actually saves the plots again. In Assay and Resource, the button had drifted out of sync with the charts it was supposed to collect and had been quietly zipping up nothing for a while.

CSV import recognises more real survey and collar files. Files using the AT/AZ/DIP survey convention and XCOLLAR/YCOLLAR/ZCOLLAR collar convention — both standard in Datamine-family software — now map automatically instead of showing required columns as missing.

Under the hood: the resource-estimation math (desurvey, compositing, inverse-distance/nearest-neighbour/kriging, grade-tonnage, and contained-metal across g/t, ppm, %, and kg/m³) was checked end to end against an independent calculation, not just against its own test suite, and that check now runs on every future change.
