First release of Capy: your favorite capybara, helping you out without ever leaving your machine.

Install

  1. Download Capy-0.1.0-arm64.dmg below.
  2. Open it and drag Capy into Applications.
  3. Open Capy. This build isn't notarized by Apple, so macOS blocks the first launch: open System Settings → Privacy & Security, click Open Anyway next to "Capy was blocked", and confirm. You only do this once.

Requirements: Apple Silicon Mac, macOS 14+, 32 GB of memory for the 27–30B models (smaller models need less), Google Chrome for browser use. On first launch Capy asks you to download a model (about 18 GB for the default).

Everything else (Ollama, opencode, the browser tool) is built in. Capy checks for new versions and offers the download when one is out.
