First version for the Anki Card Reviewer

v0.1.0 – First Public Release

This is the initial release of the Anki AI Review add-on for Anki.

It adds a simple but powerful feature: instead of just reviewing cards passively, you can write your own sentence using the word on the card and get instant AI feedback on grammar, fluency, and natural phrasing.

To install download the bundled binary file: ai-language-tutor-0.1.0.ankiaddon.

What’s included:

• Write a sentence in the target language and receive immediate feedback
• AI comments on grammar, word choice, fluency, and gives example sentences
• Option to continue the conversation about the word or topic
• Works with any deck
• Supports both local models and free API tiers (Google, Cerebras, Nvidia)
• Normal Anki review functionality is fully preserved

Known Issues / Limitations:

• APIs are called using "manual" cURL calls, as ANKI makes it difficult to bundle the standard packages
• Deck configuration doesn’t always save properly (this is the main known bug right now)
• Desktop only (no AnkiDroid support for the foreseeable future)
• Requires some initial setup (API key or local model configuration)
