Dedicated to the integral management of the water cycle, GISWATER is a free plugin that communicate the EPA’s water simulation software EPANET and SWMM, to a Spatial database using the Geographic Information System (GIS) interface of QGIS. This plugin goes beyond water modelling, and allows other functionalities, such as:
Inventory of all elements of the network.
Registration of visits and events (operational data).
Automatic network modification.
Flow direction analysis.
Linking documents and images to the network system.
Application of the hydraulic model.
Planning and equity value.
Possibility of linking to SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and establishment of remote control of the water network infrastructure.
