DevTyper v0.1.0

A major update to DevTyper: a redesigned interface, a much larger snippet library, new practice modes and a full security refresh.

New and improved

• Redesigned interface with a new logo, dark theme, syntax-coloured code, a racing progress track with a ghost of your personal best, and a stats dashboard.
• 850+ code snippets across 33 languages and tools, including Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C, C++, C#, Go, Rust, PHP, Ruby, Swift, Kotlin, Dart, SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, GraphQL, Bash, PowerShell, HTML, CSS and Regex. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels for every language.
• Multi-line snippets typed like in a code editor: Backspace fixes mistakes, Enter starts a new line with automatic indentation, and Tab fills indentation.
• Explore mode serves every snippet in a pool before repeating one. Memorize mode repeats the snippets you have not mastered yet. A snippet is mastered after two clean runs at 96% accuracy or better.
• Ranks, XP and levels, daily streaks, achievements, a list of the keys you miss most, and trend charts for speed and accuracy.
• Language search and per-language mastery progress on the menu.

Security and maintenance

• All 45 known dependency vulnerabilities fixed (0 reported by npm audit).
• Electron upgraded from 39 to 44.
• Renderer sandbox, Content Security Policy, blocked navigation and new windows, and a validated storage interface between the app and its settings storage.
• Fonts are now bundled with the app so it looks the same on every computer.

Installation (Windows 10/11, 64-bit)

1. Download DevTyper-0.1.0-Setup.exe below and run it.
2. The installer is not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may show a warning. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
3. To verify the download, compare its SHA-256 hash with the value in SHA256SUMS.txt:
   certutil -hashfile DevTyper-0.1.0-Setup.exe SHA256
